New Patients: What to Expect

Starting Point

To us you’re not a Patient, but rather a Practice Member. A patient is defined as one who suffers. Although you may enter our practice at a point where you are in pain and suffering, our purpose is to educate, inspire and enable you to achieve optimal performance. When you become a member of our practice you join a team of like-minded individuals and families who want more out of life and refuse to accept status quo.

Filing out your application ahead of time will save you time in our office. If you can’t access these forms online, no problem! We would be glad to assist you in the office.

First Visit - Practice Member Forms

Upon entering our office, our receptionist will welcome you as a member of our family. If you have not already completed your New Practice Member Application, we will request that you complete in office. This paperwork provides us with your health history and your objectives for visiting our office.

First Visit - Consultation

Next, you will have a consultation with Dr. Maxwell to discuss your health-related problems, concerns, and potential care options. This initial visit is designed for the doctors to learn more about you, your condition, and expectations to determine how our office can best serve you and help you meet your goals.

First Visit - Examination

After your consultation, the doctors will perform a complete chiropractic examination, involving postural checks, range of motion analysis and other orthopedic and neurological tests. However, rest assured that we will explain every step of our process and get your consent first.

First Visit - X-Ray Studies

Depending on your specific condition, we may take X-rays as well. X-rays help us develop the most effective care plan for you, and alert us of any serious spinal conditions. Most people are amazed once they see their X-rays up close. In some cases, they can even identify their misalignments and degeneration themselves.

Second Visit - Report of Findings

Once the information is collected and examinations performed, Dr. Maxwell will give you a detailed report of all findings and answer any questions including:

  1. What's the problem?
  2. Can we help?
  3. How long will it take?
  4. How much will it cost?

After reviewing all your information, the doctor will give you a recommendation based on past experience and your specific objectives. At this point you will be asked to make a decision whether or not you want to become a part of our chiropractic family. When you elect to begin care all your appointments will be scheduled that day, so you can plan ahead.

At the conclusion of the second visit or Report of Findings visit, you can choose to experience your first adjustment and begin the road to a better life! We offer different chiropractic techniques that will allow you to experience great results without painful or evasive procedures. Contact us if you have a particular chiropractic technique you prefer.
